By law all dental laboratories must be registered with the MDA, which is part of the Department of Health. All our laboratory work conforms to the relevant essential requirements set out in annex1 of the Medical Device Directive (93/42/EEC). All goods are supplied in a non-sterile condition.
When sending in work, the laboratory prescription docket (lab sheet) must be filled in clearly and marked as STANDARD, INDEPENDENT or PRIVATE. If the prescription is not marked it will be taken as private. All dockets sent with work must have the signature of the prescribing surgeon on the prescription.
The laboratory prescription sheets are to be kept for five years by both the surgery and laboratory for tractability, set out in the requirements by the department of health.
Collection and Delivery
We offer a daily collection and delivery service; please allow 7-10 working days for all standards of crown and bridge work and 5 working days per stage for prosthetics. We are able to offer an express service for more urgent work by appointment and with an added surcharge- minimum 25%.
Please ensure that requested finish dates are at least 1 day before your patient’s appointment, as we cannot guarantee the time of delivery on any given day.
Terms Nett. Accounts payable by the 20th day of the month following date of statement. A surcharge of 2.5% per month is levied on overdue accounts. Queries on invoices must be notified within 14 days. Remakes and adjustments will be carried out free of charge providing the original impression is not at fault and, that any Alloy is returned.
